Tip:
Garment care labels carry various
symbols which indicate how the garment
should be washed. See later on in this
booklet for a list of the symbols and a
description of their meaning.
Tip:
Pullovers made from wool which is
itchy to the skin can be put in a plastic
bag and placed in the freezer for a short
while.
Woollens:
Cashmere, angora, merino, lamb’s wool and
mohair, amongst others, all belong to the
wool family, but by far the most common is
lamb’s wool. Depending on the animal, wool
is sheared once or twice a year. Wool fibres
consist of several layers which retain heat,
and therefore make them ideal for pullovers
and warm winter clothing such as scarves
and shawls.
Washing:
Miele has done away with the
need for hand-washing! All your woollens
can now be washed quite safely in a Miele
washing machine using the Woollens
programme. And the honeycomb drum
ensures that they are treated with the utmost
gentleness.
Drying:
Woollen garments are best rolled
up in a towel and gently squeezed to remove
any excess moisture. They can then be
placed in a Miele tumble dryer and fluffed up
using the Woollens handcare programme to
give them back their bounce.
Ironing:
Woollen garments can be ironed
using a cool iron, or steam-ironed under a
damp cloth.
