8 German engineered and tested to the equivalent of 20 years' average usage Miele carries out intensive endurance tests during the development phase in order to meet the highest quality standards. In these tests the appliances are expected to wash for 10,000 hours. This involves running a mix of approximately 5,000 wash programmes. This corresponds to approximately 5 programmes per week with an average cycle time of two hours – over 20 years.
