Washing machine and tumble dryer installation options Side-by-Side Technically and visually, Miele washing machines and tumble dryers match each other perfectly. This allows you to install both appliances side by side and easily transfer freshly washed laundry to the tumble dryer. Built-under Miele ChromeEdition appliances with straight control panels can even be installed under a worktop if the installation height below the worktop is 82 to 85 cm. In such cases, the appliance lid is replaced with a building-under kit (e.g. UBS W1/G (washer kit) or UBS T1/G (tumble dryer kit). Slot-in All Miele front-loading machines slot in under a worktop with a minimum niche height of 85 cm. This installation option does not require the appliance lid to be removed. Washer-dryer stack If there is not sufficient space available to install two appliances next to one another, most Miele washing machines and tumble dryers can be conveniently combined as a washer-dryer stack. In this arrangement, the washing machine is always installed under the tumble dryer. On select dryers the door hinge can be changed so that the doors of both appliances open in the same direction. Miele offers various stacking kits to create a stable connection between the two appliances. Some feature a practical drawer that is ideal for storing accessories or conveniently resting the laundry basket on whilst loading and unloading the tumble dryer.
