The Miele Company Founded in 1899 by Carl Miele and Reinhard Zinkann Who would have thought that the two men’s desire to alleviate the workload of housewives, whose husbands were working in the fields, would lead from a butter churner to the subsequent development of Miele’s first washing machine. For over 120 years Miele has continued to be family run and live by its guiding principal “immer besser” (forever better).
