Triflex HX1 3 Stage Filtration Stage 1 - Twist2Open dust canister Thanks to Miele’s Vortex Technology, coarse dust is separated into the main dust canister and finer dust particles are pushed into the fine dust filter. The Twist2Open mechanism on the main dust canister makes emptying the contents simple. Twist the lid anti-clockwise to release it from the body of the handstick, then twist again to release the latch allowing the dust to fall directly into the bin. Stage 3 – Maintenance free exhaust filter As the fine dust filter holds back fine dust particles to such a degree only the smallest of particles and allergens make it through to the exhaust filter. With regular maintenance of the fine dust filter, there is no need to clean and regularly maintain the exhaust filter. Triflex HX1 units with the HEPA filter achieve a filtration efficiency of >99.999% (Based on EN 60312-1) Stage 2 – Fine Dust Filter The second stage of filtration for dust is the fine dust filter housed within the centre of the main dust canister. This filter will require regular cleaning to ensure it continues to be effective in collecting fine dust particles. The great news is that this filter can be cleaned without needing to remove the dust canister from the body of the hand stick. Simply pull on the raised section in the middle (where the word “Pull” is written” and the filter will detach itself from the main dust canister.
