Miele Dialog Oven Frequently Asked Questions Why did Miele produce the Dialog Oven? Miele has always been a forward thinking and innovative company. True to our guiding principal “Immer Besser” or “Forever Better”, the Dialog oven is a revolutionary way to cook. This is the first step towards the future of how users will be able to create truly unique masterpieces in their own homes as simply as possible with unbeatable results. Miele is the first appliance manufacturer making this technology available for regular domestic use. Is the Dialog oven the same as a microwave? The Dialog oven is not a microwave. However, it does employ similar physics. Both appliances use electromagnetic waves to create heat inside the food by causing its water molecules to oscillate. The Dialog oven uses this technology very differently. We call it ‘M Chef Technology’. Microwave ovens use a single frequency (2450MHz), which does not penetrate deep into the food. Therefore, heat is generated only in the outside layers of the food, which can lead to hot and cold spots inside. The Dialog oven uses a spectrum of frequencies (902-928MHz). These frequencies penetrate much deeper into the food and cause it to heat up evenly in its entirety, which we call volumetric cooking. As the Dialog oven uses various channels within the spectrum, users can control the speed in which their food absorbs energy. This is called ‘Intensity’ function. Unlike a Microwave oven, the Dialog oven measures how much energy the food actually absorbs. This also creates a new cooking control parameter – ‘Gourmet Units’. To achieve not only evenly cooked results on the inside but also the desired finish on the outside of the food, the M Chef Technology is always combining electromagnetic waves with conventional heating methods. 113 Laundry Rangehood & Cooktop Refrigeration Floorcare Contact Dishwashers Gen 7000 Built-In Appliances
